Just the thought of Algebra can be scary but, believe it or not, when taught in the right way, it is very straightforward to grasp the basics. Then, by slowly building up from the basics, your child could soon be doing some fairly complex operations without even realising it.
Carol Vorderman’s video lessons explain concepts in a clear and precise way. Our brilliant ‘Equation Builder’ makes entering equations on a computer simple. By practising new skills in our Algebra games and then putting them into action in our practice sessions, your child will quickly build in confidence and very soon you’ll both agree that Algebra can be easy!
The course is aimed at children around 9-11 years old but is equally suitable for children starting secondary school who need help with the basics.
To work on this package, children need to have reasonable mental maths skills and to be confident with adding and subtracting numbers up to 100 and to know their times tables facts up to 10 x 10 and the related division facts.
The Algebra course is a single one-off payment. Once the course has been completed, your child has access to Key Point Summaries which can be viewed on the computer or printed out to create a set of handy revision cards for use anytime.
